After former IVM band Joey's Loss broke up, The Hotshot Freight Train formed in their ashes. Several former members of Joey's Loss went on to play in this new band called "The Hotshot Freight Train". This new group formed in the ashes of Joey's Loss in 2004/2005 and released this fantastic demo Ep in 2005 before they signed with Future Destination Records.

If you know me, you know that I absolutely adore THSFT. "Get Low" still ranks as a favorite album of mine years after it's release (2012). I still listen to that album over and over again and never get bored of it.

As we anticipate the brand new album from THSFT later this year, I thought i'd give you a taste of where this band came from and a look at their early beginnings. This Ep is much more Rock n' Roll and more in line with the last Joey's Loss record then their newer more folk/rock stuff. I like it all and I think you will too.
